Carousel

Once I thought
it made a difference
which horse I chose

the moving ones
were so much more appealing
they had to be caught first
then you had to hold on for the ride

the ones just standing
bolted to the floor
hardly any fun at all

but the music has ended
the ride is over
the horse didn’t matter after all

the perspective is different
once you step off the carousel
